This oil on hardboard painting by Sir Harold Gillies is a view of Benbaun, the highest mountain in the Twelve Bens Range in the Connemara National Park, Ireland.

The precise date of this rather simple, impressionistic, sketch-like work is unknown, but likely to have been in the mid 1950s.
