The BJPS and JPRAS

The British Journal of Plastic Surgery first appeared in March 1948. less than 18 months after the creation of BAPS, and became its official publication or “organ”.

It has been running ever since, constantly expanding, and evolving. In over 90 volumes, and re-named the Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, it is one of the leading journals of reconstructive surgery, with a wide international audience, contributed to by a range of reconstructive specialties.

Now published either physically or digitally, and also the official organ of the European Association of Plastic Surgeons, it has a companion online-only offering known as JPRAS Open.
